La Liga Top Scorers of all time are some of the best players in the Spanish league and the world. The Spanish league is one of the biggest leagues in Europe and the world and has some prolific goal scorers. Some of the best teams in UEFA European club competitions are from La Liga too.

List of Top 10 La Liga Goal Scorers
Edmundo Suarez (195 goals)
Edmundo is the player with the most league goals in Valencia FC history. He presented the club between 1939 and 1950.
Edmundo scored 9 of his 195 league goals at Alcoyano in his final season as a professional football. He won the La Liga top scorer award, also known as the Pichichi trophy, twice.
Manuel Fernandez (210 goals)
Manuel Fernandez is nicknamed Pahino. He spent 5 years at Celta Vigo and Real Madrid in his first 10 years as a professional footballer.
In 8 of his 9 La Liga seasons with both clubs, Pahino scored a minimum of 15 league goals. He spent the final three La Liga season at Deportivo La Coruna. He won two La Liga top scorers awards.
Enrique Castro González (219 goals)
Enrique Gonzalez is popularly known as Quini. He spent most of his professional football career at Sporting Gijon and Barcelona.
Individual success was aplenty in the former, but at the latter, he won trophies and individual awards.
Quini won seven top scorers awards in his professional career in Spain. Although, both players won the Spanish second division.
Of the five La Liga top scorers award, three players won at Sporting Gijon while the other two were at Barcelona. Quinn is one of La Liga’s greatest goalscorers and sits at the number 8th position on the list of La Liga all-time top scorers.
Cesar Rodriguez (223 goals)
Cesar Rodriguez as Barcelona’s highest goal scorer in history for decades. The former Spain international started his career with Barcelona, where he stayed for 15 years. Rodriguez spent two of the 15 years on loan at Granada, where he scored the club’s first-ever La Liga goal.
Although he only managed one Pichichi trophy, Cesar Rodriguez scored double digits in all but one of his 13 years with Barcelona.
Also, he won 13 major trophies, and his record as Barcelona’s top scorer in history stood for 57 years before Leo Messi broke it.
Alfredo Di Stéfano (227)
Alfredo Di Stefano is one of the greatest players in the history of football. He is one of few players to ever play for more than one national team (Argentina, Spain, and Colombia). He was Real Madrid’s top scorer in history for decades before Raul and Ronaldo overtook him.
Di Stefano spent a total of thirteen years in Spain. Eleven of them was with Real Madrid. Stefano scored in double figures in each of his eleven seasons at Real Madrid. One of the highlights of his career is scoring in five consecutive European Cup finals for Real Madrid.
The Madrid Legend won five La Liga top scorers awards at Real Madrid alongside several trophies. He is at the number 6 position on the list of La Liga all-time top scorers.

Raul Gonzalez (228 goals)
When Raul joined Real Madrid, Di Stefano was the club’s highest goal scorer in history.
However, his deadly instinct around the opposition 18-yard box helped him surpass that record. Furthermore, Raul was once the top scorer in the history of the Uefa Champions League.
During his sixteen-year stay at Real Madrid, Raul scored 228 league goals and was crowned La Liga top scorer twice.

Hugo Sanchez (234 goals)
Hugo Sanchez is arguably Mexico’s greatest footballer ever. He played for two Madrid clubs (Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid) during his stay in Spain for 11 seasons.
The first four of his eleven seasons in Spain were with Atletico Madrid, where he won La Liga top scorer in his final season (1984/1985).
In his first three seasons with Real Madrid, he retained the La Liga top scorer title.
This ensured that he top-scored in four consecutive La Liga seasons. In fact, between the 1984/85 and 1989/90 seasons, Hugo Sanchez failed to top the goal scorer’s standing in La Liga only once.
A total of 5 La Liga top scorer award helps him to the no fourth position of La Liga all-time top scorers.

Telmo Zarra (251 goals)
The Pichichi award is given to the top scorer in La Liga, while the Zarra trophy is given to the Spaniard with the most league goals in a season. The latter is given in memory of the Athletic Bilbao legend that impressed with his goal-scoring ability.
Besides Leo Messi, no other player won as much La Liga top scorer award (6). He held the record as Athletic Bilbao’s top scorer in history, Copa del Rey’s top scorer in history, and La Liga top scorer in history.
Only the latter has been lost to two modern greats; Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi. Zarra sits third on the list of La Liga all-time top scorers.

Cristiano Ronaldo (311 goals)
You can call him a goal machine if you like. Cristiano’s goal records during his 9 years’ stay at Real Madrid are impressive. He is the only player in the top 10 list of La Liga all-time top scorers whose goals exceed the number of appearances.
He is the greatest player of all time; to others, he is a prolific goal scorer. Cristiano scored 311 league goals in just 292 appearances.
During his 9 year stay in Spain with Real Madrid, he won three La Liga top scorer awards and overtook Raul as Real Madrid’s all-time highest goal scorer.
Leo Messi (474 Goals)
A certain Argentine was introduced into the Spanish League in 2004, and since then, he has not stopped scoring. The impressive thing about him is that he manages to emerge as the top assist provider in the league’s history.
No footballer in the league’s history won more La Liga top scorer awards than him (7).
No player scored more league goals in a single season than Messi (50 league goals in the 2011/2012 season).
Besides his first 4 seasons at Barcelona, Messi scored at least 20 league goals in the 13 seasons. Deservedly, he is in the number one spot on La Liga’s all-time top scorers’ list.
