Kylian Mbappe To Real Madrid – A Tale of Torture, Ardency, And Dream

The Mbappe to Real Madrid proposed move has long been a big subject of speculation.

Kylian Mbappe’s future was a subject of intense speculation last summer as he emerged a primary target for Real Madrid. Despite Los Blancos’ persistence in securing the Frenchman’s signature, PSG refused to budge and Mbappe remained a Ligue 1 player.

The Paris-based club intentionally declined to negotiate a deal with Real Madrid, all with the conviction that Mbappe would eventually change his mind if he continues to be subjected to intense pressure from the club’s hierarchy. This move is unfair to the young attacker and it’s pure torture.

Mbappe is one the biggest footballers on the planet and PSG’s desperation to keep him is fairly understandable, but there is only so much a club can do to dissuade a player from leaving.

PSG Continue To Heap Pressure on Mbappe

It is now clear that the 23-year-old attacker doesn’t want to continue in Paris as evident to him rejecting the club’s incessant renewal proposals. At this point, PSG’s antics are no longer funny, and it’s gradually becoming a display of lack of class.

PSG chief Leonardo Araújo admitted a week before the end of the summer transfer window that Mbappe wanted to leave.

“Kylian wants to leave, that seems clear. If Real Madrid are making offer, that seems clear…Me, I am giving a position, that, I think is clear for everyone.

“We cannot, the week before the end of the window change our plans. If he wants to leave, we will not hold him back, but on our terms.”

Leonardo also mentioned that the €160million that Real Madrid offered was less than what PSG paid to sign Mbappe from Monaco. It was then later reported that Real Madrid made a final offer of over €220million and yet PSG still refused to sanction a deal. So, what exactly was going on in their mind?

Leonardo accused Real Madrid of using underhand tactics in their pursuit of the 23-year-old world cup winner, but is that enough to keep a player against his will?

Leonardo also emphasized that PSG had created a dream team and won’t let anyone destroy it. But is that also enough to keep an employee against their will?

PSG doesn’t care about Mbappe that’s for sure. They don’t care about what he wants.

“At the time, I was a bit disappointed to stay”, Mbappe admitted during an interview with L’Equipe. “When your ambition is set to leave and you stay, you are not happy about it. But I quickly moved on “.

“When your president says in front of the whole world that you are not going to leave, nor leave on a free…at the time I was a bit worried, I am not going to lie, ‘if I am not leaving on a free, what’s going to happen to me?’.

Mbappe words clearly reflect the unfair amount of pressure and emotional rollercoaster he’s been subjected to in the last few months with regards to his future at the club.

PSG have seemed to employ every possible tactic to persuade the young attacker to sign a deal. Fans constantly chant how badly they want Mbappe to stay.

French media outlets have relentlessly released propaganda insinuating that Mbappe will extend his contract.  Even the president of France Emmanuel Macron has reportedly lobbied for the 23-year-old to sign a new deal.

All these could easily have been interpreted as a perfect display of love. Only if Mbappe hadn’t expressed his intention of leaving.

Kylan Mbappe’s Ardency Cannot Be Questioned

Despite reports of Mbappe’s refusal to commit his future to PSG, the talented footballer has continued to put in consistent fine performances.

His professionalism has often been praised by all and sundry. His display on the pitch has no correlation whatsoever with the doubts surrounding his future. He continues to give his best to PSG regardless of how their relationship ends.

“I have not decided my future” Mbappe replied to French broadcaster Movistar.

“I play for Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best clubs in the world and I give my best and then we will see what happens next season.”

Mpappe has 24  club goals and 17 assists in 34 appearances this term. A very impressive statistics for a player whose future is up in the air.

Real Madrid and Mbappe’s Dream

The love story between Real Madrid and Mbappe is not a thing of yesterday and the feeling is mutual. The young attacker has always been admired by Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez. It is a well-known fact that Mbappe is and has always been a Real Madrid fan. In fact, he dreams to one day play for the Spanish giants.

“Then, right before my 14th birthday, I got an incredible surprise”, said Mbape as reported.

My father received a call from someone at Real Madrid, inviting me to come to Spain for a training session over the holiday break. It was a shock, because they actually told my father, ‘Zidane would like to see your son.’

At the time, Zizou was the sporting director. Of course, I was over the moon. I was desperate to go.”

Mbappe has also never hidden his admiration for Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I had a lot of idols, there was Cristiano Ronaldo who I loved a lot, and during this period we have had Cristiano and Messi”.

Mbappe even went ahead to name Ronaldo’s bicycle kick in the 2018 Champions League quarter-final tie against Juventus as the best goal he has ever seen.

After a failed move to the Spanish capital last summer, Real Madrid can now begin to breathe air of optimistim as Mbappe is set to become a free agent in a few months.

Contrary to PSG’s relentless push on Mbappe to renew his contract, Real Madrid are understood to be respectful of Mbappe’s professionalism and trust that he will make his decision soon.

They are not putting any pressure on him as they think he has already been put under enough strain.

Money can buy happiness, they say, but Mbappe’s recent refusal to sign a blank-cheque renewal offer from PSG says otherwise.

Mbappe would have a smaller salary at Real Madrid than PSG. But he doesn’t seem motivated by money, and the final decision will be his.

For Kylian Mbappe, he seeks to find true happiness in the whites of Los Blancos. His dream to play at the Santiago Bernabeu for Real Madrid is priceless.

Mbappe to Real Madrid is inevitable at this point. The club should just focus on looking for a replacement for him.
